Racing Winter on the Pacific Crest Trail – Day 134

It was an incredibly relaxing day today.  I slept in,  had a late breakfast,  then met Mason and Butters for an early lunch at 5 guys burgers and fries…of which I’m not a huge fan of.  So after that lunch,  they caught a bus to a town closer to the trail head in order to hitch.  I waited about half an hour,  then went and had second lunch at a local joint called “Hardys” (no relation to the major chain).  Hardys was home to my second favorite buffalo wings on the PCT.  Oregon you’re impressing me!

I then walked downtown and had an early dinner at a Mexican/Peruvian restaurant called “Hola.”  I had a ceviche dish here that was absolutely to die for!  I can’t wait to replicate it when I get home.

Then it was off to a movie; Don’t Breathe.   It had a strong beginning,  then got pretty cheesy.  I simply enjoy the movie theater atmosphere, so the fact that it was a bad movie was of no consequence.

On the walk back,  I got to see one of the most interesting cloud formations lit up by the setting sun.

I’m in no hurry to get back to the trail tomorrow.  The bus won’t run on Sunday, and it’s a long, tough hitch, but I’m not sweating it; I’ll get there when I get there.

Go to Day 135.
